One other thing Have you ever had a 7030 series phones on a KXTD system? They work on the KXTD's but no where near as good as the 74 series does. The new 76 series are made to go with the tda systems. It would be like owning a race car and installing regular tires on it. You will never get to know how much that race car can do with regular tires. The actual footprint of a 7636 is almost identical to the 7436. Another important point is the new 76 series cost less than the 74 series. You should be able to sell the 74 series and get your moneys worth. I just worked on a dual cabinet 1232-3 system that had 7020, 7030, 7130, 7230, 7336, 7436 series phones. What a mess that was.
