Hi, I have a residential 824 system, 2 CO lines, and 15 analog 7735 series phones. Several issues I can't figure out, hence "ask the experts"...
1. When the CO line rings and a peron lifts the receiver, it takes a long time (one and half seconds at least) for the line LED to turn from red to green and to be able to speak to the person on the line. It's an oddly long time. My vendor said all of the phones have to ring and that's why it takes so long. This doesn't sound right to me. Everyone who uses the phone winds up saying "Hello? Hello? Hello?" until it connects. 2. I can get the CID info to display in the phone no problem. i can't figure out how to make some sort of history appear. I know it's not a "consumer" phone, but I know the log files have all this info and the programming book suggests it is available. BTW I have all users in one group, so it shouldn't be a permissioning problem. Thanks very much for any help here!
