My KR-2 is plans built. However, it has Diehl wing skins that does extend the total span by 30 inches. The wing taper is greater than stock plans. I am sure that the Horner tips and winglets also effect the MAC. The Diehl tail group probably has some extra weight beyond the stock plans. Bot

Good points. My only point is that the reference to the leading edge in the plans is for the plans built kr2...and not the kr2s. The cg in terms of % MAC is pretty consistent because it is based on the airfoil shape alone. https://sites.google.com/site/mykr2stretch/ https://sites.google.com/site

The only thing I would think you would even consider changing is to make the c.g. range in percentage of MAC only and not referenced to the leading edge, since any changes to the basic KR2 wing planform will affect the MAC...including, but not limited to...a per plans KR2S wing, extensions, winglet

(hit "send" too soon) If they got a good lawyer, he'd kept telling the jury "twenty-seven YEARS they knew about this deadly design, and they HID it from the public!" The fact that Rand died in the prototype would also look good in the tabloids, even though that had nothing to do with spins. ("T

These aren't necessarily errors...any airplane is a flying set of compromises...you trade stability for speed...durability for lightweight. No plane is perfect. It's up to the pilot to understand these compromises. https://sites.google.com/site/mykr2stretch/ https://sites.google.com/site/mykr2str
