Dave discussed this briefly on the KR FB forum. He had a fuel management problem causing fuel starvation. His nose gear strut needs to be replaced and the right wing tip was scuffed. All-in-all, he did a remarkable job, and the plane should fly again after he engineers a solution to the fuel management issue.
