I seem to recall reading, years ago, that each additional 100 pounds 
will cost you 3 kts at cruise.  I don't know if that holds true for 
our size aircraft or not or if it's even true. Each additional 100 
pounds  will noticeably affect take off and climb performance.  I can 
tell the difference between 10 gallon and 25 gallons in the 
tank.  Many KR's are flying with the Diehl skins with little 
noticeable effect on handling so I don't see that as a concern over 
stock wings.  But, as always,............................
