Personally, a water cooled motor isnt the best idea for a plane as small
and light as the KR... Remember: 8lbs/gal of water, plus radiator, overflow
tank, and hoses. On top of an already heavy motor...

This is just my opinion as I have no experience with the Sube
engines. I was rather excited when I first saw them being used
and in some areas they have had reasonable success, like the
gyrocopter in Australia. I've never seen any real success in
the KR in my 16 years at the Gatherings

balls to the wall flat out. The difference is the soob burned about 7 gph at
cruise, the corvair seems to burn 4.8 to 5.5 gph at cruise. I am flying with

I didn't say that Corvair engines are unreliable. I have no idea how many
have failed while being used in aircraft. However, RFI has installed over 400
Subaru EJ-22 engines in auto gyros over the past several years. The single
failure that has occurred happened on an engine that had experienc
