If you can afford it, I don't think you could go wrong with an O-200 or O-235. The three fastest KR2s that I know of all use o-200's (Shirley's is a KR1 powered by a 3300cc Jabiru). I don't know of one running an O-235, but that doesn't mean it wouldn't work just fine too.
