Larry,
This is just my opinion as I have no experience with the Sube engines. I was rather excited when I first saw them being used and in some areas they have had reasonable success, like the gyrocopter in Australia. I've never seen any real success in the KR in my 16 years at the Gatherings and years on the net. I've only seen one fly and it was a heavy KR to start and I wasn't too impressed. The engine will be heavy, cooling problems, and lots of little engineering things you'll probably have to work out on your own. Long story short, If you can't go with say an 0-200, I'd go the Corvair route and build it conservative. Go the 110hp route, don't bump the compression too much, short prop extention, etc. Dump the engines to whoever wants them. Again, just my opinion. No experience with Sube's or Vairs although I have three Vair engines waiting in the wings. Glad you enjoyed the Gathering and hope you took some good info home with you. Larry Flesner
