Dave,
What sort of carb/carbs system do you have.Do you have the float chamber and
needle valve shut off system such as a Zenith/Stromberg or do you have a
throttle body type such as a Posa/Ellison.?

Hi Netters,
My questions about wing pins could have caused concern.Using wing pins in a

whether parked or flying impose a terrific locking load on the pins with the

Hi Netters,
Has anyone used wing pins to attach the wings ?My sailplane has wing pins with

Hi Netters,
Thanks Patrick and Robin for your input.A netter calculated the load on a
typical KR dive brake as about 130 lbs, deployed.I tried my brake at 2600 rpm

ball park idea of what to expect.

Hi Netters,
Dive brakes have come up on the net again, mentioning dive bombers. The WW 11
Douglas Dauntless dive bomber had dive brakes that could be described as a
whole lot of holes held together with very little material. This may suggest
that the holes cause turblence and drag. The question aris

Hi Dene,
In a motorglider one is caught between a stone and a hard place.Ample
cooling, intakes, eyebrows, vertical gills, are fine to cool the engine but when

this cooling will degrade the gliding performance and worse
