Hi Dan,
Thanks very much for your response.I have a 2 L type 4 VW engine that runs 
exceptionally well on a distributor similar to a Bosch type 009 distributor 
imported from Great Plains.and standard VW plugs.I have installed a backup 
system that will need an extra set of plugs.Thanks for clarifing the matter.I 
will have Auto.Engineers do the job without steel inserts.
