Hey everyone,
Apologies in advance for perpetuating the great "Plan's Quandary" thread.
As I understand things Janette Rand feels that selling plans will expose
her to legal liability and doesn't want to allow plans to be sold. In an
ideal world we would try and setup a non-profit that could take
Glassing a cowl to finish off my KR2Ss. 0200 engine.
And completing paperwork for the CofA.

Please excuse my previous email to Philip which, due to my own stupidity, was
copied out over the ether instead of being addressed solely to him.
Therefore, I offer an apology to those of a sensitive disposition and possibly

Yes indeed Phillip.
All of these aircraft have 'evolved' from someone else's idea. Ken Rand and
Stu Robinson borrowed heavily from John Taylor's Monoplane - something that
Terry Taylor (John's son) is still pissed about.
What are you working on now?

You want the 164 ci block not the 145 ci because of rod size and crank
number. I have heard 145 ci converted successfully on Pietenpol aircraft.
Heads numbers are a area to keep a close eye on in a conversion

On Mon,
That would be nice. I believe that my KR1 (with most of the longer KR2 wing
skins) and if fixed gear, will be LSA spec.
Of course I can just stay with the new BsicMed which I qualify for, and
have retracts and even a in-flight variable prop (and night flight), so its
a toss up.
If they bump up LS
This could be timely. IIRC, Sept. 2023 is the "drop dead" date for FAA
to roll out the MOSAIC rewrite of Part 23. There's a lot of hope
rolling around EAA and LAMA that the LSA category will be expanded. Of
course, the distinct possibility exists that nothing will change
regarding LSA; FAA b

Plans will become like Corvair engine blocks! Next to impossible to find. I
downloaded the complete set back in the day when you could find them on the

KRnet members,
I'm way overdue with this reminder, but please do not repost an entire

searching the archive a frustrating exercise (many repeats of the same

no one in the family is interested in the business. I'm not sure why

Agreed but the point is the registration plate irrespective of an initial
design or one built from another person's plans must allow unique reference
to the construction so it can be traced. One aircraft, one unique plate.
