You do not need to remove the headliner to re bed the hand rails . The inner
hand rails are connected to the outer ones. Just take a screw and screw it into
the plugs . That will remove them and give you access to the fasteners. Any
other fittings will have access ports or plugs that you can rem
I would replace the water tank and not take any chances with it . Some photos
of your sette would help also. My 30 is of the 1979 vintage . I have an extra
piece of plywood on top of the sette . It slides between the metal brackets and
pulls out to make the bed a bit bigger to lay on .

I did this on my 79 30 Mk 1 also. A small flathead screwdriver in the hole will
hold the nut from turning . If you are sealing the outer rails with 4200 or
similar do not over-tighten the handrails . Just snug enough to squeeze a bit
of sealant out then let it cure . Snug up after it has cured .
Frank : where are you located . The only thing that I recommend is Aqua buff
1000 and 2000 it will make the boat shine like it was brand new . Once you get
the technique down then it's really easy . Lots of water and a high speed
buffer with a wool pad . If you are in the Toronto area I can cert

I find it odd that your cabin sole flexes so much. Have you checked your mast

Ammonia will work great . Once you remove it you really don't need it . I found

There is a small sump ( depression ) in the floor in the head . The pressure
hot and cold water was on a retractable hose that was attached to the sink tap
. I think you would sit on the head or stand with a curtain around the head . I
have seen the sump arrangement but not the enclosure

My 1979 C&C30 had leaking chain Plates. It rotted out the balsa core and I had
a 2 ft square area around the chain plates re done . Access to the chain plates
is really easy . You can reach the fasteners from the lockers on each side

guessing that it is a closed system . You can pressure test your engine. There
should be a heat exchanger on the engine . There is a sump under your mast step

Any household ammonia diluted will strip the Polyglow. I highly recommend Aqua
Buff 1000 and 2000 to buff your hull . A good carnuba wax after is all that you

I have what is called the mast mate, it's a ladder made of webbing that you
pull up the mast track , I climb my mast twice a year to install and remove
wind instruments before stepping and dropping the stick . You can usually find
an ad for the mast mate I'm the back of most sailing magazines ,
I used to lower my mast all the time . All you need is three people . I would
back my boat in the slip and drop the mast to a person on shore. One on the
