We purchased our C&C 37+ in early July of 2010 so haven't had it very long.
We have put several thousand miles on it and have had it long enough to
know we are very happy with the boat. We haven't found anything we don't
like about it (except there isn't anywhere to easily stretch out

We do not control the Seaport fees. We have asked for a donation to defray the
costs of the Rendezvous' website, room rental for Rob and a welcome reception
for same.
Any monies left over after the above expenses will be donated to Stu and the
Cncphotoalbum.

Did you wipe of the Silkens with acetone? I think I am right in saying that
acetone will cause Plexiglass to craze. When I did my windows this year
(using Plexi) Tony at Select Plastics made it very clear I should clean up
with mineral spirits - not acetone

I think Plexiglas and Acrylic are the same. Consensus is you need cast
Acrylic, seems like McMaster Carr has this in small cuts. I have Lexan
(Polycarbonate) and it dulls and scratches easily, but is better if you
think someone will be shooting bullets at you. This is available in a UV
grade if yo

Just finishing our first summer on Alera. She is an absolute joy in
every way. We don't race so I will leave that to others, though I
will say that the fin keel should serve you well. We have the wing
keel and it has been great for cruising in the pacific northwest.

Years ago I used end for end with lazy sheets and guys on my J 35. It was
incredible fast and smooth with a coordinated, experience crew. But in the
real heavy stuff dip pole kept things in better control. On my 44 I would
not attempt anything but dip pole.

Someone please remind me again what I should be using to replace the lens in
the forward hatch. Plexiglass, Lexsan, poly acrylic ? I used plexiglass
last time and it crazed around the edges where I had to wipe off excess
Sikens.

Typically I have raced on boats in the 33 to 48 foot range as foredeck. My
opinion is anything over 33 feet probably calls for a dip pole gybe but that's
just what I'm used to. It is very important to blow the babystay before you
gybe!! I have forever etched in my mind the sound of carbon

I delivered a Beneteau 42 departing Seattle and arriving in San Diego back in

very pleased with the boat. It sails well and has a roomy cockpit and interior.

If you are dip pole jibing, the baby stay has to be released/slackened
otherwise the pole can't cross over. On an end for end jibe, I guess it
is possible to do with the baby stay attached but I would definitely get
it out of the way.

You should check out the brochure for the 34+ (35.5' long), built between 1990
and 1995.
It has an amazing interior layout very similar to the 110, at half the price.
You can usually find them on Yachtworld , but not for long.
