Danny,
You should check out the brochure for the 34+ (35.5' long), built between 1990
and 1995.
It has an amazing interior layout very similar to the 110, at half the price.

You can usually find them on Yachtworld, but not for long.

ooh...I wish there was a C&C 110 there...that might be the one! they only had
a 101 there.

I know we looked at a couple of older C&Cs she did like. We need to get inside
a 110, then sell everything, including the dogs, and get one of those, perhaps!

Replace the wife. Get a wealthy one who simply loves teak and the letters C&C
and you're a net winner.

Well,

It wasn't the Catalina that she liked.... It was the Dufour 36P at whopping
$290,000 uhhh...hm...

then the Junneau 37 came in 2nd in her book at a more reasonable (however,
unreachable) $175,000 base ewww

There was a beautiful Tartan 34 there at the drastically reduced price of
$265,000 sail-away today price!

It's funny but the wife really likes the look and clean white interiors of the
French Production boats. She has no interest at all in the Tartan, Sabre or
even Island Packet. She says she "hates" all the teak and can't stand the
smell of teak.

What is one to do? (not that I could afford a tartan or a sabre or and island
packet) There doesn't seem to be any compromise...its euro cruiser or
traditional...

It is easy to see why Benteau, Jenneau and Hanze are popular. You really get a
lot of boat for your money. What about the hardware? what about build quality?
those are hard arguments to make when you are talking about a $125,000
difference in the price of a similarly sized boat.

It makes an interesting conversation though...

I'd love to hear thoughts on this.
