Definitely start with friendships.  I know a number of women who take a
look at the number of female friends a guy.  It's just one of those things
some people tend to notice, the same way you'll notice physical appearance,
conversational ability, grooming habits, etc.  And obviously, if I guy has
*no* female friends that tends to look bad.

I don't know if any guys check to see if women have male friends.  Hm.  Now
I'm curious... I've gotta go email some guys...
