Gentlefolk,

Things get interesting.....

By adjusting the signs and values of the various HOME_ parameters When
I 'Home' the axis the axis stops nicely at the limit switch and sets
the axis position to 0.0 (as seen on the Axis GUI display.

Axis then pops up a message 'joint 1 limit switch error' and I have to
click OK to continue. Should this happen?
Fiddling with HOME_OFFSETS. HOME_IS_SHARED, etc to try and inhibit this
have no effect.

Any suggestions????

If I have the soft limit (MAX_LIMIT ) greater than the physical limit
switch value and jog up the Axis the axis stops on the limit switch.
All Ok if the MAX_LIMIT is less than the limit switch position value, we
stop on the MAX_LIMITS position.

Then whilst trying to get off the limit a couple of things can happen:

Click on home and the axis goes north, increasing the value of the axis
and if I do not stop it crashing into the frame. I think this may have
something to do with Axis thinking that the axis is at 0.0 (home) and
going north to position at the home_offset.

Try and jog in a negative direction and occasionally I get a long
message which I unfortunately have not captured. On other occasions I
get 'joint 1 limit switch error' and I cannot get the axis off the limit.

All a bit ugly.

Ian
