Allmost got this worked out. The not stopping on the limit switch appears to be caused by me setting up the setting 'Home and Limit' on one the axis in stepconf and then cutting and pasting the generated parts of the config from that axis to another in the .ini file (while fiddling home setting). Thought I got everything but may have missed something or perhaps there is something somewhere else in the .ini I missed. Anyway, back to stepconf and set all things on the axis I was working on, then updated the .ini based upon what has been provided in correspondence and experience with speeds, etc. Voila, stopped at the limit switch!!!! Updated the sign of the home velocity parameter and wahoooo things homed in the correct direction towards the bottom of the Y axis. The stepper makes an odd noise as things stop which from ever increasing experience looks like a speed issue on one of the homing steps. I will address it in the next few days.
