Suspend fails, partially shuts down, PC locked, requires several seconds of
power sw to shutdown.
Hibernate does not power-off after I/O, after several seconds of power-sw I
shut it down; Resume worked fine.

I have latest updates to Ubuntu 9.10 and Firefox3.5 and today about 20
abends of Firefox, mostly in reading NY Times and other news, but also
in launchpad. Until last week Firefox in Ubuntu 9.10 ran OK.
Note, I use same user Firefox files for this distribution. a Ubu-9.04
and a Debian Sid.

Currently with latest version of LUCID: suspend appears to work normal
up to shutoff, leds and hard-drive remain running, power off required
to proceed. I have had similar problem with other PC's in past.

Problem in the SWAP partition, the resume after hibernate failed on boot
due to some error in swap format: FILE INCONSISTANT.
This karmic partition=sda7 was copied from sda1 which I rebuilt from scratch
using beta karmic32 CD yesterday with latest updates.

partitions using "LABEL=" in /etc/fstab or in GRUB1.
I then converted LABEL= to /dev/sda... for the several partitions used.
Boot then ran properly.

After changes, further testing: reboot failed hibernate. I first did a
mkswap, could not boot test-karmic32-beta, nor easy-peasy, or older
Ubuntu, nor very close copy of karmic so I did fscks on all partitions.
PROBLEM=(I think) REISERFS DATA PARTION required a FSCK after
hibernation and reboot.
SIMILAR to bug previously reborted BUT this time the ROOT "/" partition
required a FSCK.EXT4.
Previously the REISERFS data partitions required such, another time the
SWAP partition required MKSWAP.
I have not tested for several days, gave up, no updates for several
days, will do so shortly.

Did a new install with a x-precise-64 of 5 Apr on a Lenovo ideapad-Y530
with 64bit intel processor:
Suspend starts but leaves a faded screen in place allowing only a power
off to accomplish anything
Hibernation as above is not allowed (I did not try forcing it by
executing via sudo pm-hibernate,
MOSTLY FIXED: did complete re-install with beta+ as of 31Apr
SUSPEND works well now (tried only once)
HIBERNATE not displayed on settings or session-menu BUT if executed via
root as PM-HIBERNATE it now appears to work well.
I did not install any additional drivers for this laptop - perhaps th
