This bug is similar, now on KARMIC - beta reinstall with latest updates on Lenovo-Y530. Previously I had not had a problem with either Karmic or Jaunty on this PC with HIBERNATE NOT SHUTTING DOWN. This not shutting off problem always occurs with SUSPEND on both Karmic and Jaunty on this PC (no problems with ThinkPad-T42 with Jaunty).
The RESUME this time turned into a fresh boot.
