Same hardware. Using ALL kernels: always using latest version available. Several months ago using xUbuntu-karmic-32 and xUbuntu-lucid-64 in addition to gnome versions; lately using only gUbuntu-karmic-32 and gUbuntu-32+64-lucid but just dropped karmic completely.
NOTE: my Lenovo-Ideapad=Y530 laptop is not recognized. In fact, for a week or two recently with lucid-64 PowerMgt did no show any options for laptop.
