Again testing with latest updates to Precise X-Ubuntu as well as
LinuxMint-12 and latest -13:  Suspend fails to complete, requiring a
power-off.    Hibernate no longer an option  although I have forced it
by executing it from root (I had to power off but it did recover where I
left off) but did not bother retesting this.

Also, in another bug report I reported for all these distributions my
intel-5100 wireless will not work so I have major frustrations in using
any major upgrades and fear even to buy a new laptop, even a Thinkpad
unless perhaps a Sys76.
