I have that setup in the old AEE trailer. We used it for charging a
plug in hybrid for a race. When ever the car was not plugged in, power
went backwards through the SW4024 and charged batteries. The waveform
worked fine with and SMA 1800, which has a 120 VAC output.

I have seen large pole mounts in Portugal in an above ground ring of
concrete 3 feet high and 6 feet in diameter. I would get an engineers
opinion on the size but that would be easier than digging a hole in rock.

you need 56 volts from two 60 cell modules it will be a
much lower current than peak current. The modules will be running closer to
open circuit voltage.
If you battery reaches full charge at 48 volts, it should charge fine, but
you will have other bigger problems.

foot deep concrete pier and require no concrete. You just need a
jackhammer type tool. I have not tried them. They could be good for

Are you running 100+ volts DC through a Square D breaker? They are not
rated for anything above 48VDC. Midnite Solar makes a manual transfer
switch that can be fitted with 150 VDC breakers. That may be a better
choice.

I have been using the Xantrex 600 volt charge controller for 6 months. It
works great. It is controlling 4kW coming in at 350 vdc charging a 48 volt
battery. You need to have the remote to set it up and monitor its output.
