If I recall correctly the Rambo is not a could candidate for a 650b conversion

Riv is selling the new wide jaw brakes. I asked if this would let me get tires
wider then 28mm with fenders on my Rambo. They said probably. I haven't tried
yet so I can't confirm. Maybe give them a call.

bike was Suntour 7spd Friction shifting with a 13-34 freewheel and 46/36/24
chainrings. This gear range was perfect for this trip.

appears to be a classic shirt and there is no need to cut it off. With some
wincing on my part as I sit up and manage to get my injured arm pointed towards

Very well put. This is where I am with my Rambouillet and front loads. I have
worked it out to where it works
well enough for me. I know other bikes might have worked better out of the box
with a front load but the Rambouillet is acceptable they way I have i

I switched last year to a 40x17 for my main gear and it worked out well for me.
I have been riding some hilly 20 to 30 mile riese. You need to balance out
the need for speed against the ability to climb. For now I will stick with the
40x17 but when I try and tackle some hilly century rides n
What part of the country do you ride in? I am trying to get a gauge on the
type of hills you are riding on. I am using the QB with a 40x17 and have found
this to be a pretty good gear. I am a bigger rider and find that this leaves
me enought for the hills and still lets me move fast enough o
My wife currently has a Bleriot with CR18 rims. These rims are severly
oversized and I can barely change a tire on them in my shop so there is no way
she will be able to change a flat on the road.
I was considering replacing these rims with some Weinmann ZAC 19 rims. I went

I have no experience with the internally geared hubs. I don't know how easy it
is to swap between a derailleur set up and an internal hub set up. And you
don't want to eat the cost of rebuilding the current wheel if you are going to
change systems.
