Hi Eileen,
I’m sure you probably did it this way, but if I don’t do an update with the
phone plugged in to my Mac is to make sure it’s plugged into a wall adapter.
For me at least, things always go much more quickly when the phone is connected
to external power.

I have a track pad so I tried pressing it instead of pressing enter to oopen
the message. it starts reading right away. if I delete the message afterwards I
have to vo left-arrow twice to get back into the messages. really strange but
it works almost every time at least for me.
