scanner. They never come with truly up-to-date drivers for Mac.
Then, get the latest version of VueScan.
In VueScan, set the scan resolution to 300DPI. Set external editor to default.

Or just do like I did, and create a commander key for these actions. It works

This is probably just the same old weird untraceable bug in VoiceOver that's
been around for a long time. I press Cmd-F5 four times and VoiceOver comes back.
If your Mac really is freezing, then this isn't happening to me.

always thinks there is a screen hooked up. Works well and it connects to
our old TV so the kids can watch DVDs on it or whatever. Since NTSC
