Installation of 1.3.6 (Release 7) on a Win2000 system (without administrator privileges) went smoothly: Msys and Python24 were installed easily. Ghostscript, Image Magic, MikTex etc were found correctly. (For some unaccountable reason Msys grabbed and refuses to give up the MatLab icon???) Lyx

hello again, perhaps this is not a problem with lyx but with the X-server for windows, don't know: I use a swiss-french keyboard (or swiss german) for writing german documents. A capital Letter with Umlaut e.g. "Ü" can only be obtained on those keyboards using a deadkey combination (like ""U")
