Hi, Jean-Claude. You are suffering from a misconception. Your LyX is a
native Windows app. It has absolutely nothing to do with Cygwin. It doesn't
need and doesn't use an X-Server.
Dead keys: do these things exist on Windows? Similarly, does Windows do
Compose keys? I have no idea.
