I converted the wheel size on Robert Pasak’s airplane. The gear legs were short
and pants were large, so to get the wheel pants on I split the pants in half

After 2 blowouts on the KR-2S (and wheel pant damage) within a week I changed
from the smaller tires to the 500 x 5 tires and haven’t had any problems since.
Smaller tires are lighter but if they aren’t rating for the weight and speed
you will have a blowout eventually. Combine that

front: if you have one already hinged at the side there may be hope and a safer

It seems the deciding factor to go with an O-200 is cost. I acquired my O-200
for very little and you can as well. I bought the worst looking Cessna 150 I
could find for cheap. I took it apart and sold everything but the motor. I
ended up with nothing in my motor. In fact, truth be known I made

Since it’s already attached I would lay out the cut so as to leave a small
front and back section and say 1/2” on each side. This way you only have to lay
up a flange on the inside of what’s there and reattach it with #6 screws and
blind nuts. Cutting the whole thing off means a lot

What we use at Velocity is bathroom caulk. White or clear. Put it on and wipe
it with a damp sponge until it’s only in the cracks. It’s cut with a razor
blade when it’s time to remove.
