Hello David, As one of several resident CFI’s in the group I’ll jump in her about training in the KR. There is nothing preventing you from doing primary instruction as long as it isn’t for hire. There is a legal way to do that if you want and that is by getting a Letter of Deviation Authorization or LODA as we call it. I’m happy to see someone interested in instructing in the KR though keep in mind that while it technically counts I doubt you could get a DPE to give the check ride in it. I routinely instruct in homebuilt aircraft and I can tell you that you should try to have two throttles or a throttle in the middle. Go for it.
