Kevin,
I second the suggestion of the nanoVNA. I bought one off Amazon for about
$50. After watching a couple of Youtube videos, calibration and swr checks
are easy and quick. I have built several antennas for ham radio in the 144
Mhz and 440 Mhz ranges, tuned them with the nanoVNA, and they work g

Sam,
Can I offer a suggestion?
Take a piece of yarn and tape it to your windshield. Use this as a test to
verify
your corrections.
If it is straight your right on.
If it cocks, you should have made the correction at the rudder.
Happy flying

Question, about a month ago. One of the members was trying to get rid

Please let me clarify.
I was assuming his plane was a taildragger. That was the picture he had
attached.
I'd totally agree with your assessment if his plane is a tricycle geared
plane. Then its flight characteristics
are like the Grummans.
Point 1) what the "shortly coupled" piece does for tail
J3 cub
or
aeronca champ or citabria.
The KR is shortly coupled flight characteristics in conjunction with the
fact
the rudder authority is limited.
It's about getting comfortable with it.
