I'd like to have a report which monthly shows monthly balances and
totals for a few accounts. They are all cash asset accounts.
I couldn't find quite what I wanted , but here's my work around, plz let
me know if there is a report which will give me what I'm looking for.

For sharing access I think a shared Dropbox folder would be safe and
sufficient. Other possibilities which I'm not as familiar with would be
Google Drive and One Drive.

I think the problem may be that you do need to treat it as a security
(like a stock). When you enter the transaction you need to enter the
number of shares and the total cost and let the price per share be
automatically filled.
