Hi Bruce/GNUCash users, What version fo GNUCash was used to create your data file that is having trouble opening?

Another possibility could be that a dependency/library is not included on your Linux distro, therefore you could use the Flatpak version of GNUCash - https://flathub.org/apps/org.gnucash.GnuCash https://flatpak.org/setup/MX%20Linux & https://flathub.org/setup/MX%20Linux for setting up Flatpak on MX-Linux - https://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=mx What version of MX-Linux are you using? Are you using the default XML format? Is your new file (new book) saved in the same location as the old data? Have you tried to open your old data file within GnuCash by clicking File --> Open from the GnuCash menu bar?
