You have to manually build the alsa-modules for 0.9 and install
them yourself. I don't know if you are running woody or sid but
in either case you should definitely update all of your alsa packages
to the sid version since it is much newer. You will also need

a misplaced arch-specific registry file incorrectly packaged in the

do an apt-get source and rebuild it locally, once gnome-vfs2
is re-installed using a local build it should work fine. It
appears to be a reoccurring problem with gnome-vfs2 that modules

fail conflicts which aborted its installation. The conflicts were with

depends on where your linux partitions are located. If you are sharing
a drive already between linux and MacOS X you'll be okay. However if like
