I have noticed for quite some time that if use the ide-floppy driver instead of ide-scsi to access my Powermac's ide zip drive that the device is not created unless media is in the drive at boot time. This is with Debian sid and devfs in use. Does anyone else see this same behavior? Also is this a Powermac specific issue or does it happen on intel as well? This is on the linux 2.4.xx kernels. Jack
