The interior is fine. In the process of Spring cleaning inside and out. Will
post interior photos after a weeks time. Mostly working on the bottom paint,
boot stripes and hull wax now.

I got an email from the owner. He says the interior is "fine" and he will
eventually get photos up. I really like the Crusaders, but the layout is
definitely old-school with good seaberths. If your wife wants a dock-condo look
elsewhere.

I can't imagine what you would be using to *anchor* a boat in salt water that
would not tolerate being wet.
My old boat has no separate compartment - the anchor locker drains into the
bilge. To keep the smells down I hose the mud off the line and let it dry

FYI: I have bought a few 1142 size cabin light bulbs from this seller and they
work great. The 1142s are 2 pin 2 contact bulbs used in a lot of cabin lights,

I have noticed that LED bulbs at home get surprisingly hot. Any heat issues
with these?

We would need to know what kind of bulbs your light uses. The 1142s referenced
in my link fit some masthead running lights.
If you use a white light in the red-green-white part of the unit you *have to*
use WARM WHITE. Cool white will NOT produce red and green through the lenses,

I quit using my masthead tricolor years ago when not far offshore anyway after
about the 10th time I almost got run over by a powerboat yelling "turn on your

There *was* a legal case where a boat built in the 1800s was anchored with a
kerosene anchor light and hit by a powerboat. The powerboat skipper blamed the
sailboat for having an illegal light. I think the sailors won in the end, but
this was a long time ago. This is the boat BTW (http://www.cy
