Low reserve, your chance to buy a great sailing cruiser that has had all the expensive work done and NO STORM DAMAGE! Shown by appointment, sails, biminis are removed for winter. Water systems and engine winterized. Will help new owner in spring to recommision if desired. If you took the time to read this, you know this is truly a well fitted C&C cruiser. Thanks for your interest! In response to many questions about 'balsa core boats' and age, I can only offer the following. Core problems on deck are very common. When found, I addressed the issue. C & C used core in the hull construction, however in the keel mounting areas and where the through hulls are mounted were all solid fiberglass. I have replaced through hulls where needed, and found no issues in those areas. The chainplates are notorious on C&C's for working loose where they tie thru the deck. That allows water into the core of the deck. It was repaired 10 years ago (missed by survey!) by removing the soft core, installing a fiberglass ferulle tube (G96) and filling the area with epoxy. I had custom stainless plates made up to sandwich the repaired are and provide load spreading and better sealing. They have not leaked a drop in 10 years. The truth is all boats need maintenance. I am sure there are repairs done to much newer boats and newer materials are sure to be improvements over the old, however the beauty and lines of this old girl speak for themselves. And she's not half a million dollars either. In response to the constant questions about price, well thats what auctions are about. 'nough said. And yes, the Bose speakers and flat screen display go with her along with the 6 person life raft (due for repack). I hope that helps! My questions sent to the owner: Dear landfall38, SAILS: Brand new as in just got them or brand new 10 years ago or ? Is the spinnaker new as well? The ad mentions a furling genoa twice. Are their two of them or is it the same one? You mention a connection for a storm jib on the inner forestay? Do you have a storm jib? You mention canvas over the cockpit. Is there a dodger as well? How old is that? Are the electronics all in working order? How old are they? Does the boat have shore power? How about batteries? Size/number/type/age? You mentioned fixing chainplate leaks. Are there any other leaks? Are their soft spots in the deck? Are there any indications of water intrusion in the hull? Is the boat available to be seen Saturday? What is the type and age of the raft? THANKS! We can make a lunch trip to Onancock maybe and get photos for everyone if the owner is around.
