go with BoatUS. I've had a few claims for various reasons over fifteen years

Progressive is about half the price of BoatUS and does not require a survey.
There is an upper limit to what they insure – maybe 20K – and they have a large
deductible for named storms, however.

I had been using Boat US for my previous boat. Also, they were the insurer for
my recently purchased 29 MKII with the PO. They sent me a quote for $13K less
in value and at a rate nearly twice what they had been charging the PO.
