I moved to a new bigger disk and now I have to label every volume. I
have restarted both the bacula director + the storage node.
How do I get auto-labeling to work again please?

I have just started looking for back-up software for a specific
application. I have an Athlon 64 X2 3800, 1G ram, Windows 2000 computer
where I process my music files and them copy them over the network to an
small Celeron 433, 512M ram, Xubuntu system to act as a music server

New to bacula and need some help. We need to have regular
daily backups of all of our cad job files and our office files mirrored to an
off-site computer that stores the information on its local hard drive. Currently
both our file server and the off site computer are windows machi
clients can 'see' the linux machine, and the linux
machine can 'see' the windows machine.
My question is how do I get bacula to 'see' the off-site machine. Would it
be easier if I were to turn the off-site machine into a linux machine as
well?

Just wanted to report (since I didn't see it on the Autochangers list)
that bacula appears to be happy with the HP SureStore DAT24x6/1557A
DDS-3 autochanger.
And, I might as well mention that Bacula seems pretty great in general.

and eject the tape. It worked great. However, I've rebuilt the server
and now have the STORAGE DAEMON and DIRECTOR on two separate servers.
Any ideas how can now eject the tape on the storage server after the
last job run

my JOBDEFS for the jobs, and storage devices (disk and tape).

We had looked at using the COPY to copy jobs offsite (to another SD) but this
limitation prevents that. So, we just copy from disk to tape and take them
offsite for now.

rather poor. I'd love to see the documentation simplified and revamped
to make sense - and not written from the viewpoint of someone who writes
bacula - but I'm n

doesn't try to use it. During a restore, it will say "VOLUME
required".
I'm not sure if this would take much to implement in bacula - but it
would be lightyears ahead of what is currently there
