I have a Logitech Serial Mouse which I can't get to work in Woody.
When X starts, the cursor stops responding for a few seconds.
At first I thought it was a gpm issue; removed gpm and reconfiguring X.
But I still get the same problem.
Any help/advice would be much appreciated.

after installing the debian rev4 with 2.2.19 kernel, i could not use the
german latin1.kmap. Only the ext2.de.kmap works fine. Is this a known
problem? Machine is a PPC 6400

Not an answer to your problem, but another way to do what you're trying to
do is to simply install lilo or grub on a floppy disk. You could then use
a kernel off the hard drive (like you would if it was installed on the
MBR.)

Wasn't very careful when i posted the esd problem - didn't enable
the esound plugins in xmms and realplay. just great... now i got that
fixed by enabling them. sorry for the silly post...

to reinstall (the right root filesystem was mounted but lilo.conf was MIA; I

The file "mail" showed a link to somewhere, here's the output from mail
.Apr 1 2001 mail -> ../mail
My question:
I'm guessing that the file "mail" is linked to here: /var/mail
but the above output doesn't tell me that.
