Hi all,

I am running Mandrake 9.1 and have an older PII 266 MMX, a Hauppage WinTV Go
card, and an EnsonIQ1370 sound card. When I run XawTV, I get both audio and
video. When I record under Windows (boo! hiss!) I can record both audio and
video, but it is very choppy and the audio does not synch up. That's okay -
I'd rather not record under Windows. When I record under XawTV, I get video,
but no audio.

I tried recording using both streamer and lavrec, and can get raw video and
avi video, but don't seem to be able to get sound. Here's what I (lamely)
entered at the command line.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] TVCaptures]$ lavrec --software-encoding --input=n
--quality=50 --geometry=352x288 --audio-source=l --wait test.avi

When I play it back under MPlayer, I get the video (King of the Hill, a very
worthy subject!) - but no audio.
Help! BruceG
