Hi,
perhaps a old question but I didn't found any infos...
On my system I can capture with lavrec -d2 just fine and get a 1/4 PAL, but then I try -d1 I get something like this:
X
+---------------------------------------------------+~~~~|~~~~~~~~
| | | | |
| | M O V I E | |Y2 |
... ................
| B | X2 | | |
| L |-----------------------------------------------|~~~~| |
| A | | Y
| C B L A C K | |
| K | |
+---------------------------------------------------+~~~~~~~~~~~~|
X=768 , Y=576
Y2 looks like 768/2=384 and X2~730
I get the same big black part bottom to the movie with -d21.
The black part on the left side of the movie is much smaller but still exist on my -d2 capturing test.
A test with -d12 run "fine".
I've test it with 2 VCRs and different tapes (some tapes with and some without macrovision).
At all the same happens.
I didn't test a NTSC tape with PAL60 or NTSC nativ. This is on my todo list for tomorrow.
It also still happens then I connect a video signal enhancer box between the VCR and the capture card.
To the last week I had running a W2K with Pinnacle Studio and this DC10+ / DC10Plus without problems. Today I can't make a short test with W2K because W2K don't like to get installed/booting on this big disk. Perhaps a problem from the MoBo BIOS.
A capturing from another source is also impossible because I had cancel the cabel company last week to change to DVB-T, based on a PCI card. This card is now not in the system!
ToDo's: - capture NTSC tape nativ with -d1 - capture NTSC tape with -d1 and VCR translation to PAL60 - build a new vanilla kernel von kernel.org (2.4.20 is fine?) - install W2K/Pinnacle on a different disk -> test
any other ideas?
