Hey all, I got my WinTV Go card running okay under XawTV, and am now able to play TV on the PC. The next part (well, my original goal) is to record from Super8 and VHS video to make a presentation.
I seem to be running into problems recording sound under both streamer (from XawTV) and lavrec (from mjpegtools). Using lavrec and the following script, I get the following: The capture script: [EMAIL PROTECTED] TVCaptures]$ more capture.sh lavrec -t${2} --software-encoding --input=n --quality=50 --geometry=352x288 --audio-bitsize=8 --audio-source=l --verbose=1 - -wait /home/bruce/TVCaptures/${1}.avi Info back: [EMAIL PROTECTED] TVCaptures]$ sh capture.sh test 10 INFO: [lavrec] Recording parameters: INFO: [lavrec] Output format: AVI INFO: [lavrec] Input Source: BT8x8 1st input NTSC INFO: [lavrec] Decimation: 4 INFO: [lavrec] Quality: 50 INFO: [lavrec] Recording time: 10 sec INFO: [lavrec] INFO: [lavrec] MJPEG buffer size: 256 KB INFO: [lavrec] # of MJPEG buffers: 64 INFO: [lavrec] Audio parameters: INFO: [lavrec] Audio sample size: 8 bit INFO: [lavrec] Audio sampling rate: 44100 Hz INFO: [lavrec] Audio is MONO INFO: [lavrec] Audio input recording level: Use mixer setting INFO: [lavrec] Level of correction for Audio/Video synchronization: INFO: [lavrec] Lost frame compensation and frame drop/insert ++ WARN: [lavrec] Unable to set negative priority for main thread ++ WARN: [lavrec] Pthread Real-time scheduling for main thread could not be enab led INFO: [lavrec] Using mmap(2) system call for capture ++ WARN: [lavrec] Unable to set negative priority for audio thread. ++ WARN: [lavrec] Pthread Real-time scheduling for audio thread could not be ena bled. I can record from CD's and play back. I can hear sound when playing XawTV. I can even hear sound when running the capture script above. I just do not get sound when playing it back. Help! Hardware-wise, I am using a Hauppage WinTV Go card and an EnsonIQ sound card. I have a cable running from the TV card to the sound card (out on the TV card, in on the sound card).
