Handicaps *should* show you the difference in performance. These are from PHRF NE. You should be able to compare the 34+ and Sabre 386 from your experience (apparently fairly similar). My experience sailing the 35-3 (another Rob Ball design) is that windward performance is great; reaching and downwind are weaker points (but not bad, mind you). Where in LIS are you based?
