In my area a few of them would have been bit by dogs, or shot at.---- Original Message ----From: chuck@go-mtc.comSent: 11/19/2024 1:14:19 PMTo: "AnimalFarm Microwave Users Group" Subject: Re: [AFMUG] removal of WISP equipment
One year I had all my installers take a full day on Feb 14 to deliver a rose to every former customer.? We got a few back that day.? ? But not sure why you'd not want to rescue good radios.? Folks like Wireless Units and Surplus Wireless will purchase it off you, so don't just arbitrarily abandon it.? $25 (or whatever they give you) for a used SM is at least something for it. ? Dave ? They'd remove the antenna and maybe the cable, but never worried about the POE. We usually got to them pretty quick because we left empty spaces in the schedule for service calls, and if there were no service calls we'd go do pickups.? ? We are starting to run into cases where customers cancel (most commonly to get T-Mobile Home Internet) and while the CPE is still perfectly functional we would not redeploy it.? Like a Cambium 450 SM with a reflector dish (as opposed to a 450b).? So we don?t want it back, and don?t want to send a tech out to remove it. ? Sometimes customers insist they want us to take it off their house.? Is there some legal obligation for us to do this?? I think if you discontinue DISH or DirecTV and want the sat dish taken down, they don?t come do it (unless maybe you pay to have it done).-- AF mailing listAF@af.afmug.comhttp://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com-- AF mailing listAF@af.afmug.comhttp://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com-- AF mailing listAF@af.afmug.comhttp://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com -- AF mailing listAF@af.afmug.comhttp://af.afmug.com/mailman/listinfo/af_af.afmug.com
