May I digress and express my firm belief that Hardwick is a fraud? He
used to host Singled Out featuring scantily clad women bouncing up and
down, but now he claims to be the nerd-king? I ain't buying that. I
think he figured there is a huge market online for the geek inclined
(and I include myself in that) and has adjusted his tastes accordingly
to better reach that market.

To your original point, Marc Maron will have a show on IFC based on
his WTF podcast, though also featuring fictional stories about what
goes on outside the show. Not sure which will be the focus, the show
or the home-based segments. Kevin Smith's podcasts featuring the guys
who run his comic book shop has turned into a reality TV series with
podcast wraparounds.
