Nate... I rebooted the E310 by shutting it down via the software shutdown -h now command... When it came back up and I logged in as root.. When I tried pinging, it stated the host is unreachable... I di the ifdown and ifup and ip a and then the ping command again, and still the same issue.

Hi Konstantin, It is fine to have the serial and ethernet connected at the same time. By manually power cycling the device, without a proper shutdown, it may have corrupted the SD card. I would suggest trying to re-image the SD card again, and go through the process as it had previously work
