Nate, The instructions are very well written and detailed.. Thanks...
Actually, most of the steps I was doing correctly from all the various portions of documents. But it is good you placed all in one document. Thanks... Everything worked well up until I burned the image. When I did the terminal command - sudo screen /dev/ttyUSB0 115200 - and then turned on the E310, I received "Unable to read file uImage-zynq-e31x-3.dtb" I tried both tx version - demo and dev... Both did the same thing... I have another SD card that we ordered with the unit. I will try to re-image that card and see hwat happens... Of course, I will let you know. One of the screen captures needed to be updated. Regards, Nate Temple Previous message ------------------------------- Hi Konstantin, I had an error in my previous email. The default setting for the release-4 image is to have a DHCP address. You'll need to edit /etc/network/interfaces and update it to operate with a static IP. Please see the attached PDF that will walk through the process of burning the release-4 SD Card image to a blank SD Card, and then the required steps to configure the Ubuntu VM within the Windows host to connect via the Serial interface to update the /etc/network/interfaces file, and then connect via SSH. Also, with 1GbE connections, you do not need to use a cross over cable. 1GbE has auto-MDIX which will allow a normal straight through ethernet cable to be used when directly connecting devices.
