Sadly SA has never realy been ported to the Win32 platform. If your realy

I've made a basic Perl module that can load, save and edit user config

For those few that care SAPP v1.2 is working and stable. The main new
feature is that it skips messages over a variable size (prevents timeouts)
AND a Readme to explain (badly) how to use it.

I don't realy use any of the apps that are being talked about here (Apart
from SA) but something occured to me that may be irrelevent but

It's strange
Once apon a time I was an Admin in a school. It was the only job I've ever
had where I was paid to look for porn.

I think Win32 should realy be sorted out somewhat. There should be no real
reason SA shouldn't work nativly on Win32, It just requires work. I will
happily take some of it on next month if there is any of it I can do.
On annother note I re-wrote my old POP Proxy (SAPP) last night. I'm alot

I think his rant is realy directed at people who setup SA to automatically
reject/delete mail that hits the threshold score. He doesn't seem to realise
that's not the way your supposed to do it. I might point out that I am the

Oh dear.

someone has installed SA without propper whitelists and consideration real
mail does get blocked. Duh! Don't blame SA for something that an admin did.

I think you have not totaly understood what SA does or how it does it. The
idea that you can just sample the mail and tell if it is spam is not a
design goal of SpamAssassin. SA was designed to work on an entire
message as far as I can tell any how. If I'm wrong here I'm sure someone

And here's me thinking I was causing annoyance with my Win32 questions! If
there are any Win32 users that *realy* want to try out SA, my proxy does
work (mostly) but it's certainly not at a "point and drool" release. Any
dedicated Win32 users who aren't scared of installing Perl and ge

I don't know about anyone else but the only time the word "Lolita(s)" is
used in my mail it's spam. I noticed this because some lolita spam has been
getting through SA with a score of 1 or 2. I say let's give lolita it's own
little high scoring rule.

Hi Assassins!
I'm dropping development on my SA POP3 proxy. I've found a far better way
to use SA, pre-processing my MDaemon mail queue and I will be doing that
from now on. If there is anyone intrested in POP Proxys now or later feel
free to send them in my direction but untill then it's

Hi,
Some of you may remember me as the guy asking questions about running SA on
Win32. Some of you were good enough to right me replys when you had stoped
laughing... many thanks.
The road has been long but I have made it. This is a bit of a mish-mash mail
so I'll just try and get out the
Hi folks,
I'm rusty on Perl and I'm working on Win32... Is there is a Win32 FAQ
somewhere I'd love a link!
The main problem I'm tackling now is that I get the following error when
running spamassassin:
"The getpwuid function is unimplemented at lib/Mail/SpamAssassin.pm line
647."
