What about this one:

where I solve ax=b for x where a is a 2x2 matrix and b is 2x1 so x is
2x1.
My question is, what if I want to solve the same system of equations as
xa=b where a is 2x2 and b is 1x2 so x should be 1x2?
BTW, now that I have my matrix al

Yes, I've seen this. The Linear Algebra text is monstruously long! I
don't see any Calc III or Multivariate Calculus or Vector Calculus
texts.

OK, I gave it the good 'ol college try! I tried to compare and
contrast teaching with a Graphing Calculator vs. SAGE at a conference I
spoke at last Friday.
My presentation was entitled "Look Ma, No Calculator!" The only
problem I had was, when I had everyone log into http://www.sagenb.org,
Oh, yes it was still worth while for my participants. I showed them
how I use a VTI (Virtual TI) calculator on my smartboard so I realy do
"look ma, no calculator" in class! I also demoed sagenb a bit. I went
offline toshow them some more with the SAGE CD which I gave out at the
conference t
Funny you should mention the puppy linux version. I burned a few
copies of that ISO today but none of them booted. The md5sum checked
out right after downloading. Once in a while I may hit a bad CD or a
bad burner, but I used burners that never failed before and 3 CDs in a
row failing is not
Yes! I am using the Litvins' text too. I have been using my AP
Computer Science class as guinea pigs trying out this text. It is
definitely at a very introductory level and I am going to use it as
such. With my intro kids it will probably take 2 semesters especially
if I do a 2 week fin
I started doing some linear programming today using SAGE in class when
I suddenly realized that I did not know how to use plot() to graph
inequalities! Anyone have any pointers for teaching this topic using
SAGE?
