Actually like the one color frame (like my Hillborne) a lot. A more
uniform look. As to the headbadge. Well, my personal preference is
for the single color. Yes, two tone (or full color) is nice. But not
necessary in my opinion. Especially if the per piece cost is too

I have a 52cm QB that I would like to replace the current single stay
SKS fenders that don't really work with the rear wheel sliding back
and forth. I could actually go on and on about their limitations...
So with the idea that the fender must be adjusted somewhat frequently
to deal with the wheel
Schwalbe Marathons for about 1,500 miles = No flats.

Hey, John-I have a 52cm Quickbeam, too! Is yours the sidepull/650b-wheeled
version? Mine is, and I'm putting SKS P-50's on it. I've used them on my
Saluki and they give good coverage and a decent fenderline with 650bX38-40mm
tires. I plan to either use the SKS quick release plugs in the rear

I like this frame a lot, but I'm also biased toward silver frames (my
first road bike was a silver Raleigh). The only detail I'm not wild
about is the seatstay attachment at the top, which is reminiscent of
too many Huffies, but still a minor point. If anything, the lugs are
fancier than I'd expect

beater. I used 50mm Berthoud fenders with mudflap on the front. The
extra length of the front fender plus flap did wonders to keep feet
dry and the bike relatively "clean." The durability of the metal was

left the rear stays long so I can just pull the bottom rear of the fender
rearward (the wood is very flexible) to get the tire out. Saw the idea for the

Yesterday, I saw the SOMA, and the boxy bag. Details on the bag will
come soon from Grant, but its a very nice looking bag. Magnets.
The SOMA looks as it does in the photos - very nice looking, and
because Rivendell is the partner, it should ride very nice. The color
is very close to a Romulus.

The photos show a Tange Prestige tubing label. You can see the details on this
tubeset at the Tange web site. It's a sturdy non heat treated cro moly. Not

If I may give my two-cents worth: I also had some problems removing rear
wheels from bikes with metal fenders. But I learned that deflating the tires
usually does the trick. Inflating the tires again is a less hassle than
adjusting the fenders every time;-]

going away. I understand the Bombadil, Roadeo are built by Waterford -
aren't they also currently building the 700c AHHs? Anybody know if

Hillborne (country)- Hunqapiller (touring/trail) on the low end and
Rodeo (road)-Bombadil (tour/trail) on the high end, with the SingleOne
and Mixtes. That's a pretty good lineup. Only thing missing is a
high end country bike (AHH),
